Château de Montfaucon 'Comtesse Madeleine' Lirac Blanc Marsanne/Clairette
Grape: Marsanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Piepoul
Region: Lirac, Côtes du Rhône
Château de Montfaucon is steeped in history, the original tower was built in the 11th century, a strategic point between the French kingdom and the holy Roman German empire. Added to and rebuilt multiple times throughout the centuries, the castle still stands now housing a winery, now run by Rodolphe de Pins. Named for Rudy’s grandmother, this wine is much like her- elegant and powerful. Aged for 8 months in oak, this wine has a fantastic creamy texture, tangerine, melon, and honeysuckle. This wine will definitely make you feel a little posh whilst you enjoy it.
