This wine goes out to all the hipsters who like it big and spicy! Frédéric Brouca has a Masters in finance and a sommelier certification, but is a largely self-taught winemaker. Brouca and his (Canadian) wife Elaine live a pretty nomadic lifestyle, and try not to get tied down in one place for too long.  In 2012 they were fortunate enough to take over their 10+ acre property in Faugères that have been organically farmed for over 20 years now! Fun fact, Faugères has the most organic vineyards of any French AOP! This wine sources it’s fruit from an isolated vineyard of 20-year-old Mourvèdre and forty-year-old Syrah, and is loaded with black pepper,  black and blue fruits and gamey notes. This wine overdelivers if you’re a fan of full, dark and elegant wines. Great with heavier fair, and classic Southern French dishes.
