Hidden Bench 'Felseck Vineyard' Chardonnay
Region: Beamsville Bench
Chardonnay is a real chameleon meaning it’s kind of perfect all year round, but we think Hidden Bench’s ‘Felsek’ Chardonnay is perfect for transitioning into colder weather. Named for the vigneron Harold Thiel’s family farm of the same name, wine’s from this vineyard are known for their distinct minerality and ripe fruit overtones. This wine is organically farmed and aged a mix of new and and mostly old French oak, and a small percentage in concrete egg for 14 months. Rich and toasty, with note of Bartlett pears, stone fruit and flinty acidity, cream and concentrated on the palate. This wine will continue to evolve in the cellar, but don’t let that stop you from drinking it right now!
