Pago Aylés Cuvée A Merlot/Garnacha/Tempranillo/Cabernet Sauvignon
Grape: Merlot, Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon
Although wine laws throughout Europe are generally structured the same, Spain has an additional category- Vino de Pago. Vino de Pago is a special designation awarded to a single estate that is able to prove their sites have unique characteristics in both their soil and microclimate that are notably distinct from surrounding areas and whose vineyards produce wines with singular qualities. Finca Aylés founder Federico Ramón began pursuing the classification in 2003 and earned the designation in 2011 -just before Federico’s passing- for their distinct wines made from blends of indigenous grape varieties- Garnacha, and Tempranillo, with international grapes- Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Today his three children carry on his legacy, and Finca Aylés is still the only Vino de Pago in Aragón. This lusciously full wine will give your favourite Cabernet blend a run for it's money!
