Sciàre Dell'Alba Etna Bianco Carricante/Catarratto
Grape: (80%) Carricante, (20%) Catarratto
Region: Catania, Sicilia
Sciàre Dell’Alba is the sister winery of Abrami Elisabetta, an organic Frangiacorta producing winery, where Elisabetta was born. With the help and experience of the Urzì family she opened the second winery in the Gulf of Etna, and named it ‘Sciàra’ - a combo of Arabic and latin words, for uncultivated land, to burn, and ‘Alba’ the moment when night becomes day.
This fruit for their Etna Bianco is (80%) Carricante and (20%) Catarratto sourced from 500m altitude vineyards on the east side of mount Etna. Tropical and stone fruit aromas, medicinal florality, and loads of lees and punching minerality, and is super freshhhhh. This is the first vintage of this wine, and only 1000 bottles were made!
